I can tell the economy is tight this christmas season, because I’ve started getting spammed from companies I haven’t bought from in years, in once case, over 10 years. Part of me wants to sympathize with their obvious desperation, but there are other parts of me that just don’t think any level of desperation makes it OK to send the same pitch out twice in the same month. It’s not just rude, it’s stupid. It guarantees that not only won’t I buy whatever it is your advertising, it means I won’t buy ANYTHING from you, ever. Call me crazy, but I think intentional bad-faith behavior should be punished, not coddled.
