The owner told an investigator last year that employees didn’t wash utensils, pots and racks with soap, because it would “alter the taste of the product,” according to the warning letter. Instead, they rinsed tools in boiling water and dipped them in a bleach solution. The inspector said that method was ineffective.
Surely not the same doughnuts I was smelling this morning.

I was getting ready to make a snarky comment, once I’d verified everyone had survived without injury, about hoping that the storm that hit Branson had wiped out my gazebo enemy from high school, but it turns out the school has ‘recently’ moved from Branson, to outside of Kansas City.
I wonder who is using the facility in Branson now; is it part of one of their other ‘ministries’, or did they sell it off?

Dear Apple,
Steve Jobs is dead, can we finally get beyond his silly hangups and allow merging of Apple ID’s? Or do you not want the Cloud to succeed, and were just playing along with him until he died, and now are deliberately trying to destroy his dream?

Is our capacity for happiness determined at birth like eye color, fixed and immutable, or is it like our capacity for hot wings, something that can stretch and grow, or wither and shrink, with use and practice?

While I was busy playing with Lego, one pair of friends was having a grandchild, and a co-worker was having his child as well.

Maybe I will never dance again
But I can still sing
Maybe I will never belong
But I won’t ever be thrown away again
Maybe today looks dark and gray
But sunshine is on the way
Maybe.

Why bother re-grouting the bathroom, in a house about to fall over from termite damage?
Why bother changing the oil, in a car on fire?
Why bother introducing yourself, to someone who will hate you?
There must be a reason, to do the things that must be done,
even when you know the race was lost, before it’s even begun.

I bought a groupon for the place last summer, with the intention of encouraging myself to work harder on my knee issue, by having a goal to work towards. Now that my knee is starting to feel stable enough to risk acrobatics, I find out they went out of business last month.
d’oh.

The ever helpful IT folks at work decided to upgrade our issue tracking system. The new system removed the two buttons I use most often, and replaced them with a 6 step manual process.
Gee, thanks.
It’s not like they added new choices at each of those six steps, there is still only one valid workflow, and it won’t tell you what the workflow is, you have to have already known beforehand what the two buttons did under the covers, or you are screwed.

After my re-realization that the DVD alternate language tracks could be a source for different takes on favorite movie/TV songs, I’ve been going through my library, looking for stuff that I want to hear in another language.
I was pleased to find that Tiny Toons has alt language tracks for french and portuguese, but saddened to find that Animaniacs has none, just alt-language subtitles. And here I was hoping to hear the Presidents song in spanish.
