Thursday, March 20th, 2008I knew he’d died semi-recently, if a decade ago can be called recently (no I’m not getting old, now get off my lawn, damn kids!), but didn’t realize I’d been listening to, and liking, his last recorded appearance, the Bran Van 3000 song Astounded.
vista sp1 happy day
Thursday, March 20th, 2008FINALLY!! A “never see this again” checkbox for the new-to-vista warning you get when connecting to a remote machine. So far, SP1 does not appear to have done anything for the terrible stability of wmp11 when ripping dozens of CDs. Update: It appears Vista SP1 breaks remote desktop to the console session. No warning message that it’s making a new session for you. I had to go into taskmgr and see that there were indeed the expected local apps running after all. grr. Update2: It appears I should really search, THEN post more often. Turns out the just changed the flag from /console to /admin. Seems silly, but whatever.
