Hyper Gumbo

Nothing feels better than having someone you thought was a friend decide to start ignoring you, right when you need them most.  You want to give them the benefit of the doubt as to why they’ve stopped responding to your texts.   “He’s taking a break from drinking and smoking, he’s probably taking a break from his cell phone and PC too.”

Except the truth turns out to be much more personal and pedestrian.  You were played, they got what the wanted out of you, and they’ve given up the game and gone home.

This guy was very clear on how much we spend on cleaning up the toxic waste out at Hanford. What I didn’t hear a whole lot of was what sort of alternatives he had. It’s not like we can just ignore the problem. shrug.

The ICP-lite band ( I dunno ICP well enough to know if they were a cover band, or just a tribute-in-style band) passed out pillows at one point for the mosh pit to play with. If you watch the next few shots in sequence, you can see the kid in red hit someone who doesn’t react entirely happily. Too bad I didn’t realize what I was capturing at the time, to follow through.

What an odd day yesterday. Saw this guy on the way back from lunch, and then again on the highway, on my way home from work. Funny how it can bring such a smile to my face, even though I can’t remember the last time I ate anything from O-M, much less one of their hot dogs. I usually go for a spicy sausage these days =p

Here I tested out the depth of field, when using the fish-eye adapter. Does better than expected again. Sure, I can see the shadows on the inside of the hood, but that’s a croppable issue.

Testing the Macro ring

Bought a couple of cheap toys to go with my camera. First up is the macro ring portion of the fisheye adapter. Will have to compare to the reversing ring once I’m sure what’s the best lens to match with both.
